We encourage this to be daily and any type of reading is appropriate e.g. newspapers, magazines, cereal boxes, books from home, school reading book, library book etc.
Home learning Home learning will be set half termly and is based around our topic. Children will have a number of essential tasks to complete, as well as a choice of others. In the front of their homework books, you will also find a list of the common exception words to practice spelling and reading at home.
Snack Children have the opportunity to have an extra snack. This is 25p per day. In addition, the children will receive free fruit. They also have a water bottle provided for them.
P.E: Please make sure your child has their P.E kit in school every day.
Reports and parent’s meetings Children will receive a termly report and meeting, focusing on maths, reading and writing. Meetings are normally held after school but can be arranged at different mutually agreeable times.
Thank you for your time. If you need to discuss anything at any point in the year, please do not hesitate to come and see us at a mutually convenient time.
