Here are just a few answers to questions we are asked on regular basis. We hope they help. Please feel free to send any feedback using the Keep Us Up to Date page. If more information is required we will endeavour to add it to this page.

School Day
Children can enter school from 8.50am after the school bell has been rung. Children are supervised on the School playgrounds from 8.40am. In wet weather the children can enter early.

Attendance
If a child is unwell and unable to attend school, we ask parents to telephone the Office before 9am to let us know. Registers are checked each day for non-attendance and a telephone call is made to those parents whose children have not arrived in school by that time.

SATs WEEK - SATs (Standardised Assessment Tests)
These end of year assessments are usually done in May. Year 6 parents have the results included in the Annual Report on their child.

DBS Checks
If you volunteer your services to a member of staff, you will need to register with the office in order for us either to view your DBS/CRB check or arrange for one to be completed. This is obviously VERY important for the safety of our children and we thank you for your support.

Dogs
The school grounds are a Dog Free Site. Please ensure all dogs are kept outside the gates and on the opposite side of the path to the school.

Non School Uniform & Bring a Bottle Days
Organised to collect bottles for the School Summer or Christmas Fayre, in return for not wearing school uniform, the children bring in bottle, chocolate or filled mug, as requested. This is organised by the Parent Teacher Association.

Holidays in School Time
Holiday in school time can be requested via a Leave of Absence Form available at the school office, but it is not an automatic entitlement. In most instances it will not be authorised.

Assemblies
Parents are welcome to attend Friday morning assemblies, which are at 9.15pm in Acorn (KS1) and Oak Hall (KS2). The children receive star of the week certificates that they have earned. Certificates from achievements outside school are also celebrated.
