The Governing Body of Lillington Nursery and Primary School is a voluntary group of local representatives and elected parent and staff governors who are responsible for the management of the school and for the education which it provides for its children.
The day-to-day operational leadership and management of the school is, of course, the responsibility of the headteacher and his senior leadership team. Together with this team, the Governing Body plays an important and statutory role in strategic planning for the school and in evaluating its effectiveness. Governors oversee and monitor school policy.
The Lillington Governors are a dedicated group of people from a variety of backgrounds, who bring a wide range of perspectives and skills to the management of the school. As a group, we are proud of the recent achievements of the school – its children and staff – and fully support Mr Fance in his drive to ensure that the school goes from strength to strength, growing in its reputation as one of the best schools in Leamington Spa.
The current Lillington Local Board is as follows: Alan Boad - Local Authority Governor - Chair Paul Gurton – Co-opted Governor - Vice Chair Jim Randle - Co-opted Governor Derek Fance – Head Teacher Governor Jules Wright - Co-opted Governor Richard Cox – Staff Governor (Teaching) - Link Governor Chris White - Associate Member - local MP for Leamington and Warwick Jack Watts - Parent Governor Martin Seddon - Parent Governor
Parents wishing to contact the Governing Body for any reason should contact the Chair of Governors, through the school, or any of the elected parent Governors. For complaints please see Complaints Policy below.
